PROJECT NAME: Leon’s Full Service

LOCATION: Decatur, GA

Leon’s Full Service opened its doors in 2009 inhabiting its surroundings so thoroughly that it feels like an intrinsic part of Decatur’s past, present, and future. The bar is built out of vintage wood and exposed metal and you can see some of the original signage on the wall behind the bar from the gas station that Leon’s is located inside. “When we built this out we wanted to use as much of the old building as we could. Kind of uncover the old build building.”  said Ryan Gallagher, general manager and one of the owners of Leon’s.

A Full Service Experience

The goal of Leon’s is to provide a full service restaurant version akin to the full service gas stations of the past. “There was a time when you pulled up to a gas station and immediately about 4 people would descend upon your vehicle with smiles. They would check your oil, check your tire pressure. Clean your windows, fill your tank and above all ask you how you are doing and what else could they do for you. They meant it. Full Service.”

What to Expect

• A U-shaped bar that encourages conversation and is set up with a gorgeous draft system. See the extensive draught menu that will delight any hops snob here. Find other beer, wine, cocktail, mocktail, spirit, and coffee selections here. There is truly something for everyone! There’s rarely a day the patio and bar aren’t packed with regulars seeking liquid refreshment.
• A seasonal food menu that offers fresh selections made with local ingredients. They offer great food that you love to go with the drinks you love. And sometimes they even generously share the recipes (!): Honey Panna Cotta, Homemade Oatmeal Cream Pies, Warm Chickpea Salad, Brussels Sprout Hash, Homemade Peanut Butter with a Side of Bacon, Carrot Pine Nut Hummus.
• A porch-sippin’, people watchin’, dog-friendly patio with a bocce ball court – enough said!
