April Showers Bring May Beer Festivals!

“Sprinter” is headed out the door and warmer, sunnier days are on the horizon. Can’t you feel it? So let’s take advantage of what has to be better weather in the month of May and attend a few beer festivals. Shall we?

May Beer Festivals:

Kennesaw Beer and Wine Festival – Atlanta Beer Festivals and the Kennesaw Downtown Development Authority will host this even for the 5th time Saturday, April 28 from 1-5 p.m. Okay, we realize this isn’t technically in May, but it is close enough! This festival will have over 100 beers, featuring the local Georgia Breweries, and a select number of breweries from all over the country.  This event will also feature over 25 wines and many ciders. As if that weren’t enough, there will also be live music!

Gwinett Beer Fest – This is guaranteed to be Gwinett’s biggest Cinco de Mayo party held on May 5 from 1-5pm at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, GA. Coolray Field is home of the Gwinnett Stripers. With unlimited sampling of over 150 craft beers, live music and great food, the organizers and their community sponsors are committed to putting on another unforgettable event!

Craft Brewers Conference and BrewExpo – And technically this isn’t a festival, but with the conference being held in Nashville, you know it will be a good time! Check out the events for the week and then try to convince us that this is not where you want to be April 30 – May 3.

Chattabrewga – Chattabrewga returns for year SIX on Saturday May 12 from 12-5p at First Tennessee Pavilion in Chattanooga, TN. Be prepared for the best craft beer festival and tasting in town including unlimited samples.

Carolina Brewsfest – This promises to be a fun event with beer, running, music, food trucks and activities to appeal a wide variety of folks from all over the southeast. It is held in High Point, NC on May 12th from 12-6p.

Durham Blues and Brews Festival – This is a new type of event designed to be a unique experience by offering Great Blues music and only North Carolina Craft Beers. The Brewers will be on site to tell you about their Breweries and Beers while you sample from their selection. This festival will be held May 19 from 5-10p at Durham Central Park.
